Control

Managing the Server State

The "Control" page enables you to manage the state of your server. You may, for example, trigger a restart in case of an error. Depending on the state of your server, different options are available.

Server is powered on

Powercycle

This constitutes a regular reboot. The server is shut down via ACPI and subsequently powered on again.

Forced reset

This constitutes a forced restart. Due to the nature of this, data loss may occur. This option is only recommended in situations where triggering a "Powercycle" has yielded no result.

Suspend

The server will be suspended, and you can resume execution at a later time. Please keep in mind that this cannot replace proper storage of file changes, as data loss may occur in case of interferences with the server.

Shutdown (ACPI)

Sends an ACPI shutdown signal to the system. This is the recommended way for shutting down your server.

Forced Poweroff

This constitutes a hard shutdown. Due to the nature of this, data loss may occur. This option is only recommended in situations where triggering a "Shutdown (ACPI)" has yielded no result.

Server is suspended

Resume

The server will attempt to resume operation at the point where it was suspended.

Forced shutdown

This constitutes a hard shutdown. Due to the nature of this, data loss may occur. This option is only recommended in situations where "Resuming from suspension" has yielded no result and the server is unresponsive.

This will start your server.
